For it’s 20th anniversary, UNIL’s Faculty of Biology and Medicine (FBM) organizes an Image Competition, together with the Faculty of Geosciences and Environment (FGSE) and [Figure 1.A.]. All members of FBM & FGSE are invited to submit images in two categories, until April 22, 2024.
After the organization of a joint event in 2023, dedicated to the topic of sustainability, 2024 marks the continuation of the 20th anniversary festivities of UNIL’s Faculties of Biology and Medicine (FBM) and Geosciences and Environment (FGSE). In collaboration with [Figure 1.A.] The Scientific Art Exhibition, they are organizing an Image Competition for members of both faculties.
Join the festivities and submit your artistic works: photos, videos, pictures, drawings, paintings, comics, … there are (almost) no limits to your creativity!
Submit your artwork in two categories:
- Sustainability, to extend the 20-year theme, and continue raising awareness surrounding challenges, opportunities, and future directions. The three best works will be selected by a jury of artists and scientists.
- My faculty, to share your daily life at the FBM !
🪴 Berthe, the green plant that has sat on your desk since your first day at the faculty? 📚 Your study group at the library?
🏕️ An odd corner on campus? 🔬 The busy life hiding under your microscope?
The three best works will be selected by public vote via the competition website.

The competition is open to all members of the FBM and FGSE communities (students, teachers, administrative and technical staff, researchers, etc.).
