Professor Olivier Michielin, a member of the AGORA Cancer Center, has been awarded the prestigious 2025 Leenaards Scientific Award as part of a collaborative project with Professor Li Tang (EPFL) and Professor Camila Jandus (UNIGE). This accolade recognizes their joint research aimed at overcoming resistance to immunotherapy in cancer treatment.

Professor Michielin, who serves as the Head of the Department of Oncology and the Service of Precision Oncology at the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG), has a distinguished background in oncology and bioinformatics. His research focuses on developing molecularly defined therapeutic approaches and advancing precision oncology programs through innovative bioinformatics techniques.
The Leenaards Scientific Awards support innovative, interdisciplinary medical research projects in the Lake Geneva region, fostering collaboration between institutions and driving advancements in healthcare.
