Awarded by the Faculty of Biology and Medicine (FBM) at the University of Lausanne (UNIL), Eleonora Ghisoni, a member of AGORA, has been building her career as a clinician–researcher in medical oncology for several years. A specialist in ovarian cancers, she focuses on immunotherapy to treat tumors that are often resistant to standard therapies.
Since 2019, she has combined her clinical practice at the Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) with research in Dr. Denarda Dangaj Laniti’s laboratory, where she recently completed her MD‑PhD. Her work investigates the tumor microenvironment in ovarian cancers and identifies biomarkers to guide immunotherapy, with the aim of developing new therapeutic strategies for patients.
