AGORA Scientists Rank Among World’s Top 1% Most-Cited Researchers in 2025

Five members of the AGORA research community have been named to the Clarivate Highly Cited Researchers 2025 list — a distinction that places them among the world’s most influential scientists.

The honored AGORA researchers are Prof. Johanna Joyce (UNIL, Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research), Prof. George Coukos (UNIL, Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research), Prof. Raphaël Gottardo (UNIL & CHUV), Prof. Olivier Michielin (HUG & UNIGE), and Prof. Mikael Pittet (UNIGE, Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research).

This prestigious recognition is awarded to researchers who have produced multiple papers that rank in the top 1% by citations for their field and publication year, as indexed in the Web of Science™, the world’s leading citation database. The annual list highlights scientists whose publications consistently rank among the most cited worldwide, underscoring their exceptional influence, innovation, and impact. Their work not only advances their respective fields but also helps shape global scientific progress and foster cross-disciplinary collaboration.
