Etienne Meylan, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Biology and Medicine (FBM) of the University of Lausanne (UNIL), Research Group Leader at the Thoracic Surgery Division of the Department of Surgery at CHUV, and member of the AGORA Cancer Research Center, will deliver his Inaugural Lecture on Monday, September 28th, 2026, at 5:15 pm in the Auditoire César Roux (BH08), CHUV.

Prof. Etienne Meylan was appointed Associate Professor at the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of UNIL as of 1 May 2025. Within the Department of Surgery at CHUV, he co-leads a research group at the Thoracic Surgery Division, where his work explores the links between fundamental cancer biology and translational research in thoracic surgery.
During his Inaugural Lecture, Prof. Meylan will share his scientific journey and his experience navigating the interface between biology and surgery.
