Welcoming Professor Etienne Meylan to AGORA

We are pleased to announce that Professor Etienne Meylan has joined AGORA, with the full support of the AGORA Scientific Committee and Coordinating Body.

Previously affiliated with EPFL and then the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), where he led research at the Institut Jules Bordet and the ULB Center for Research in Immunology, Professor Meylan has recently been appointed Associate Professor at the University of Lausanne.

His expertise spans cancer biology, innate immunity, and preclinical mouse models of lung cancer, with a growing focus on translational research aimed at bridging laboratory discoveries and clinical applications.

At AGORA, Professor Meylan is establishing his new research group and launching a close collaboration with Professor Perentes and his team, both from the Division of Thoracic Surgery, CHUV. Together, they are developing a translational research program that connects fundamental discovery with clinical relevance.

This partnership exemplifies AGORA’s role as a platform that builds strong bridges between basic science and clinical research to accelerate meaningful advances in cancer care.

Please join us in warmly welcoming Professor Etienne Meylan to AGORA!
